The Surrey Hills Ukulele Band plays at the Holly Bush for 'Wheels of Experience' charity
We would like to say a very big thank you to the Surrey Hills Ukulele Band for their brilliant performance at the Holly Bush on Saturday 21 January.
The band kindly played to support the ‘Wheels of Experience’ – a local charity who are fundraising to purchase a wheelchair adapted motorhome for families of disabled children to use. Sophie Patmore is the granddaughter of Frank and Julia Wood who are the Landlord and Landlady of the Holly Bush. Sophie is the inspiration behind this project; she is severely disabled with a rare form of Mitochondrial Disease but loves going on holiday. You can read more about Sophie on her website www.thesophiestory.co.uk.
Thank you to everyone who came along to the evening and all those who kindly donated prizes to the raffle, especially the band who donated a Ukulele and to the Landlord of the Holly Bush who donated one of his handmade wagons.
A brilliant total of £242 was made for Wheels of Experience. You can read more about this project at www.wheelsofexperience.com
